The BEFORE pictures Phase 1

Here are some of our "before" pictures from 2003.  We were planning a bath remodel to be followed by a new kitchen.

That's all the counter space we have!

This wall separates the kitchen from the nook.

This load bearing wall housed all the plumbing for the upstairs bath we were planning on remodeling.  All of our kitchen plans called for this wall to be removed.  So we thought it would be a good idea to take it down during the bath construction.

The other side of the nook.

A view of the garage wall from the nook.

The tile wall is gone and the nook is now part of the kitchen.
Garage wall opened up to make a niche for the refrigerator.

Kitchen is much larger with nook wall gone.  Wall in background is the powder room.

Refrigerator niche all framed.
A new home for the refrigerator!
Old home for refrigerator and our great pantry.

With the refrigerator relocated, we add a new doorway to the living room, and no longer have to walk through the living room and dining room to enter the kitchen!

Our new pocket door!  We have another one for the dining room entry to be installed when the kitchen is completed.
We did manage to completely remodel our bathroom, but the kitchen plans were put on hold since I lost my job.  Which was very fortunate!

It brought about the start of Plumberry Designs Inc.
